NOUS is a biotech startup working on developing a new era of ingredients for Food&Beverage and Nutraceutical Market. Our first product is Mindave, a caffeine alternative that enhances cognitive and physical performance, improving memory, concentration and reflexes without causing the typical adverse effects of caffeine such as blood pressure spikes or tachycardia, and improves gastrointestinal well-being. A recent functional study demonstrated the effectiveness of Mindave on cognitive function, showing benefits even superior to caffeine. Worldwide, 709 million people should avoid caffeine due to gastrointestinal or heart problems. However, there is currently no viable, healthy and 100% natural alternative on the market to enable everyone to face each day with full energy. In addition, the rapid changes in consumer needs and market trends pose a major challenge to medium and large companies who are unable to respond quickly to the constant new product launches. We are targeting companies with a clear health mission, enabling us to help consumers live better. Our ideal customers are beverage and food companies for developing new functional products, ingredient companies for exponential distribution through consolidated networks, and fitness companies. Being selected for the Plag&Play accelerator programme in San Francisco has opened the door to the American market and after filling the international patent in December 2023, we started the commercialisation in January 2024. To date we have +11 LOIs from customers, 5 POCs underway with ITA and US companies, 1 contract for product development consultancy with a startup and 1 ingredient company selling Mindave as part of their portfolio, allowing us to benefit from their network. We are firm believers in the link between human health and the environment’s health. With Mindave, we estimate -40% of water waste, -30% of deforestation and -30% of CO2 emissions at full production compared to coffee farming. Our focus on sustainable innovation leads us to develop new by-products from upcycling every year until we reach zero waste by 2027. We forecast the development of at least 5 products by 2027. Inspired by nature, we aim to innovate the F&B sector while reducing environmental impact.
