Before the round, or after it. That is the whole difference.
Harmonic is built to find companies six months before they raise. FundedIQ is built to tell you who raised last week and who to email there. Both are defensible; they are answers to different questions, and picking the wrong one wastes a year.
Harmonic pricing and features on this page were verified on 2026-08-22 . Every figure links to its source.
The short answer
Your trigger is money landing. You sell services, you recruit, or you are prospecting, and a company only becomes interesting once it has budget it did not have last month.
Your trigger is promise. You are an investor sourcing deals, and by the time a round is announced you have already missed it.
What usually decides it: whether an announced round is the start of your opportunity or the end of it.

Harmonic.ai, as a row in our own database
Harmonic.ai raised money, so we track them the same way we track everyone else. Rather than describe what a FundedIQ row contains, here is theirs. You already know whether it is right.

Where Harmonic is the better choice
- You are a venture investor sourcing pre-round. Harmonic is built to surface companies before they raise; we only know about a company once a round is announced.
- You need scale. 35 million company records and 195 million people records is a different order of magnitude from our archive.
- You want the data in your own warehouse, or wired into your systems through an API and CRM sync.
- You need network mapping and founder-history signals to judge a team.
What we do not do
- Pre-round discovery or any prediction of who will raise next.
- Network mapping, founder graphs or team-quality signals.
- Warehouse delivery to S3, BigQuery or Snowflake.
- AI diligence reports or an agentic search interface.
Questions worth asking first
How much does Harmonic cost?
They do not publish it. Every tier on their pricing page ends in "Get pricing", and the main call to action is booking a 30-minute demo. Checked 2026-08-22.
Is FundedIQ smaller than Harmonic?
Much smaller, and deliberately. They hold 35 million company records; we hold 60,564. The difference is that ours are companies that have actually announced a round, which is a far narrower set and the only one that matters if you are selling into a new budget.
Which one should an investor use?
Harmonic, in most cases. It is built for sourcing companies before they raise, which is the investor job. We only learn about a company once its round is public, which by definition is after the moment an investor wanted to hear about it.
Which one should an agency or recruiter use?
Probably this one. The trigger you care about is money landing, not a company looking promising, and the weekly file is built around exactly that. It is also $19 a month with a 14-day trial rather than a demo and a quote.
Do you offer an API or warehouse sync?
An API on Pro, metered against the same 2,000 monthly credits as exports. No warehouse delivery to S3, BigQuery or Snowflake; if you need the data in your own warehouse, Harmonic sells that and we do not.
