SKYBIT

[SKYBIT](HTTPS://SKYBIT.ASIA) is a social enterprise incorporated in Singapore that applies the revolutionary technology of blockchain to provide a modern financial bridge between Southeast Asian nations and the rest of the world. The difficulty of sending money via the traditional international banking system has isolated people and businesses in Southeast Asia from the rest of the world, hindering progress and development in the region. SKYBIT’s solution is to use digital assets that flow freely on the internet regardless of country borders. Easing the flow of monetary value will open up many new opportunities for Southeast Asian countries and their people, in line with national development plans and the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. Apart from the normal business goal of growing successful and generating large returns, SKYBIT's big-picture mission is to apply new technology for wide and large-scale social and economic improvement, particularly in Southeast Asia where many big problems remain unsolved. SKYBIT's core service is a digital asset exchange that allows customers to convert between various digital assets. This lays part of the foundation for a blockchain ecosystem that will give rise to innovative companies that rely on our services, contributing to the growth of the new blockchain industry across Southeast Asia. Vision & mission SKYBIT aims to apply cutting-edge technologies to Southeast Asia in order to make a significantly positive difference to the region and the lives of its people. We embrace innovation, open-mindedness, lateral thinking and creative ideas that can solve real problems and immensely improve efficiency and productivity in both business and everyday living. We are not afraid to challenge or discard antiquated thinking and beliefs that restrain progress, much of which still persists in Southeast Asia. We will disrupt the status quo in order to improve the region, its economies, and the lives of all its people. We are building the groundwork for the upcoming paradigm shift of individual empowerment via freely-flowing global value exchange. Together, we have the potential to revolutionize entire industries and even create new ones in Southeast Asia. This will help to economically strengthen the region and in turn raise the standards of living ofsociety at all levels. The possibilities of applying innovative technologies to Southeast Asia in particular are profound, if given enough thought as we have. Those who choose to remain with outdated systems and practices and refuse to adapt or explore can step aside to make way for the dawning of an exciting new era of mass social development in Southeast Asia that is driven by rapid technological advancement and leapfrogging. Join us in our quest to propel Southeast Asia forward and upward. The sky is (not the) the limit.

Nabta Health

Nabta’s unique model of hybrid healthcare seamlessly combines digital health with traditional healthcare to improve health outcomes in women living with NCDs. The growing epidemic of NCDs threatens the ambition of countries around the world to achieve sustainable, universal access to health and universal health coverage for their populations. Moreover, NCDs leave populations more susceptible to communicable diseases such as coronaviruses, influenza and tuberculosis. During the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020, 78% of people admitted to ICU in the US and 94% of those who died had underlying health conditions (CDC). NCDs remain underesearched and underserved in women. Until the mid-1990s, clinical research and clinical trials largely excluded women. Only since 1994, when the United States’ National Institutes of Health (NIH) mandated that women and minorities were to be included as subjects in clinical research, has the research community entertained the fact that sex and/or gender differences might affect clinical outcomes. Today, women using drugs that were approved by the early 90s, are 50–75% more likely than men to suffer adverse reactions to those therapies. Ironically, a significant proportion of the drugs in this category are those designed to treat or manage NCDs. Examples include statins and potassium channel-blockers used to manage cardiovascular disease or hypoglycaemic drugs such as Rezulin used to control diabetes. Nabta’s first hybrid care pathway supports women in preventing, identifying and managing Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). PCOS is a hormonal disorder responsible for 70% of female fertility issues. Women who use Nabta’s platform will be able to achieve a formal diagnosis of PCOS within 90 days. The average time taken to diagnose PCOS currently is 2.5 years.
