Helocyte: Funding, Investors & Team (Sep 2026)

Helocyte Inc., a company owned by Fortress Biotech, has a focus on developing and selling new immunotherapies to prevent and treat cytomegalovirus. Our goals are to secure rights to new technologies, fund research and development, and eventually bring these technologies to market. Currently, we are making progress on three immunotherapies, all created by Professor Donald J. Diamond. In 2015, we obtained exclusive rights to these programs through a licensing agreement with UK Hope. Our first program, PepVax, is a vaccine for controlling CMV in stem cell transplant recipients. We have already started a Phase 2 study for PepVax. Our second program, Triplex, is a vaccine for post-transplant settings and is also in Phase 2 study. We also plan to study Triplex in recipients of organ transplants. The third program, Pentamer, is still in development and will be studied for prevention of congenital CMV.

About FundedIQ's Helocyte Funding Data

FundedIQ tracks announced funding rounds and refreshes this profile every week. Round dates, stages and amounts are normalised to a single format, converted to US dollars, and de-duplicated: two records of the same round announced days apart are merged, and two genuinely different rounds are kept apart on the amounts they disclose. Amounts shown are the disclosed figures only — a round announced without a number is listed and excluded from the total rather than estimated.

Employee counts are reported bands, not exact headcounts. Founder and executive names carry the job title on record. Anything we do not hold for Helocyte is left off this page rather than filled in.
