Walden Family Services: Funding, Investors & Team (Aug 2026)
Walden Family Services was established as a non-profit organization in California in 1976 with the goal of offering high-quality care to children who have been abused or neglected. Initially focusing on residential group homes, the organization shifted to foster care in 1983 and became one of the first in California to implement a "Treatment Foster Care" program as an alternative to group home placements. In 1994, services were expanded to include children with developmental disabilities. Over the years, Walden Family Services has introduced various additional programs such as Independent Futures for pre- and post-emancipated foster youth, the Pregnant & Parenting Teen Program, and a program dedicated to supporting LGBTQ foster youth. In 2002, a program was established in Riverside to serve dependent children with special health care needs, which expanded to Los Angeles in 2006 and San Diego in 2007. About FundedIQ's Walden Family Services Funding Data
FundedIQ tracks announced funding rounds and refreshes this profile every week. Round dates, stages and amounts are normalised to a single format, converted to US dollars, and de-duplicated: two records of the same round announced days apart are merged, and two genuinely different rounds are kept apart on the amounts they disclose. Amounts shown are the disclosed figures only — a round announced without a number is listed and excluded from the total rather than estimated.
Employee counts are reported bands, not exact headcounts. Founder and executive names carry the job title on record. Anything we do not hold for Walden Family Services is left off this page rather than filled in.
