Apollo tells you how to reach anyone. We tell you who is worth reaching this week.
These two get compared a lot and they are not really substitutes. Apollo.io is a contact database with a sequencer bolted on, priced per seat. FundedIQ is a funding trigger, priced per account. Plenty of teams pay for both, and this page is honest about when you do not need us.
Apollo.io pricing and features on this page were verified on 2026-08-22 . Every figure links to its source.
The short answer
Timing is your problem, not coverage. You already have somewhere to send email, and what you lack is a reliable weekly answer to "who just raised".
Coverage is your problem. You need to reach people at companies regardless of funding, you want phone numbers, and you want the sending tool in the same subscription.
What usually decides it: whether you are short of names or short of reasons to call.

Apollo.io, as a row in our own database
Apollo.io raised money, so we track them the same way we track everyone else. Rather than describe what a FundedIQ row contains, here is theirs. You already know whether it is right.

Who we can actually put you in touch with

Where Apollo.io is the better choice
- You need volume across every kind of company, not just ones that just raised. Apollo holds vastly more contacts than we do.
- You want the database and the outbound tool in one place. We do not send email for you and never will.
- You need phone numbers. We hold none, and say so on the pricing page.
- You need direct CRM sync and a Chrome extension in the workflow.
What we do not do
- Email sequencing, dialling or any outbound sending.
- Phone numbers, at all.
- General-purpose contact search across companies that have not raised.
- CRM sync or a browser extension.
Questions from people running both
Is FundedIQ a replacement for Apollo.io?
No, and most teams that use both keep both. Apollo is a contact database with a sequencer attached. We are a funding trigger. The common pattern is to take the week’s funded companies from us and run the outreach in Apollo.
How much is Apollo.io?
Free, then $49, $79 or $119 per seat per month, all billed annually, with a three-seat minimum on Organization. Read from their pricing page on 2026-08-22 and quoted at the foot of this page.
Why would I pay for FundedIQ if Apollo has a funding filter?
Because a filter is something you have to remember to run, and it sits over a database built for coverage rather than recency. Our whole archive is 82,802 announced rounds, and the last seven days of them arrive as a file every Monday without anyone opening a tool.
Do you have phone numbers?
No. We have never held them and the pricing page says 0% rather than leaving you to find out. If phone matters, Apollo or ZoomInfo is the answer.
Can I export and load into Apollo?
Yes. Pro at $99 a month includes 2,000 credits, one per exported row, as CSV or XLSX. The Alerts plan at $19 delivers the same shape as a file each week.
